HSC full form is an High Secondary Certificate board in India. There are currently 52 sanctioned boards in India catering to 30 states. For example, West Bengal is home to six distinct types of boards such as the Board of Primary Education, Board of Secondary education, the board of Madrasah education, Council of Rabindra open schooling as well as the state council of vocational education and training, and the Council of Higher Secondary Education.

The vast majority of boards belong to the states. Higher Secondary or HSC is the final board. The student gets admitted into a college upon completion.

Overview of HSC Boards and Exam Pattern

The HSC acronym is for the Higher Secondary Board, which comprises two years of classes XI and XII that leads to the higher secondary test. It has three different streams: science, commerce, and arts. In addition students are able to choose various cross-cutting options such as biosciences pure science, pure sciences, and other commerce-related subjects to choose from.

The HSC exams HSC which is the term used for HSC are held in March. Students must score 40% in the principal five subjects out of six to clear the exams. Grading is given to students by their percentage of marks out of 100. In the science subjects, 30 marks are kept to be used for practical tests.

Subjects Covered in Higher Secondary Exams

There are numerous subject combinations in Higher Secondary examinations, and you should be aware of the significance of the hsc. Let's look at the significant streams Arts, Science and Commerce and the manner in which the subjects are allotted. There are two mandatory papers i.e. the vernacular subjects for every state, and English.

India

For India, HSCis also known as Intermediate is also known to be the the 12th class (also also known as +2) exam which is administered at the state level by the state boards of education such as (Maharashtra board, MP board Odia board, Bihar board and many others) and at the national level, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education, Sikkim (BOSSE) and National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). CBSE is the only one to conduct this exam each year, NIOS conducts this twice a year in public examinations with an option of on-demand examinations. However, the 10th grade exam is also conducted at the state levels by the state boards of education and at national level by the Central Board of Secondary Education and in India this exam is referred to as SSC exam. There are total 6 subjects to be covered in HSC exam that are different in each State Board but common in the case of the Central Board of Secondary Education

Pakistan

The Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) which is also called Intermediate it is a common exam that is taken by participants of the Higher Secondary High School, also known as Intermediate college (Junior college) in Pakistan. When they have completed Matriculation, grades 9 or 10, students then enter into an intermediate college and complete grades 11 and 12. Upon completion of each of the two grades, students have to take standardized tests in each of their subjects. They are administered to provincial board members at provincial level and by the FBISE at the federal level. Upon successful completion of the exams, students are given with the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC). This stage of e ducation is also known as the FSc/FA/ICS. There are several streams students have the option of choosing for their 11 and 12 grades including pre-medical, engineering, sciences (or social sciences), computer science and commerce. Each stream comprises three electives as well as three compulsory subjects, which include English, Urdu, Islamiyat (grade 11 only) and Pakistan Studies (grade 12 only).

Nepal

National Examination Board (Nepal) is responsible for conducting and managing the senior school exams which include 11th and 12th grade-Higher Secondary exam (10+2), 11th and 12th grades SEE Exam, and the 8th grades District Level Examination. After passing Higher Secondary Exams the student is allowed to go to university.

In addition to the National higher secondary examinations, Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) GCE Advanced Level qualifications (known as A level) is also provided by some of the public, private and foreign schools. The GCE Advanced Level is considered to be equal as the National secondary school (10+2) exam.
